Patagonia
Eastern Patagonia is a cold high desert covering the four southernmost provinces of
Argentina and part of the Magellanes region in Chile. It is a vast plateau of over 300,000 square miles that is virtually barren, except where it falls off into the South Atlantic Ocean. At the desert’s edge a rich underwater world and the Southern Right Whales of Antarctica will greet you. Expect to photograph marine creatures that will fill both your macro and wide angle lens.
Dry suits will be required to dive in Patagonia. During our days of diving you will live aboard a comfortable 38 foot catamaran. Returning to our base in Puerto Madryn, you will have time to enjoy the beautiful beaches or to explore the desert wildlife of Patagonia before continuing on to Tierra del Fuego.
