Patagonia

dive Tierra del Fuego, Argentina
Eastern Patagonia is a cold high desert covering the four southernmost provinces of

Argentina and part of the Magellanes region in Chile. It is a vast plateau of over 300,000 square miles that is virtually barren, except where it falls off into the South Atlantic Ocean. At the desert’s edge a rich underwater world and the Southern Right Whales of Antarctica will greet you. Expect to photograph marine creatures that will fill both your macro and wide angle lens.

Dry suits will be required to dive in Patagonia. During our days of diving you will live aboard a comfortable 38 foot catamaran. Returning to our base in Puerto Madryn, you will have time to enjoy the beautiful beaches or to explore the desert wildlife of Patagonia before continuing on to Tierra del Fuego.

Tierra del Fuego

scuba dive Patagonia
Tierra del Fuego (Land of Fire) is a vast archipelago of thousands of islands lying south of the Straits of Magellan, surrounded by the South Pacific, South Atlantic and the Southern Ocean.

Our base of operations will be the southernmost settlement in the world and the capital of Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia (shown in photo). Ushuaia is approximately 700 miles north of Antarctica and sits on the shores of the Beagle Channel, an ideal site for our Scuba dive operations. All dives will be on day boats and will require a dry suit.

The Beagle Channel, named after Charles Darwin’s ship The Beagle, is rich with diverse marine life ideal for underwater photography. Follow in Darwin’s footsteps with Undersea What We See and photograph marine wildlife and creatures that Darwin was never able to see.
