Pategonia's Peninsula Valdes
Orcas and Right Whales

Argentina, the land of the Tango and fine wines, will welcome us for our stay, and the Capital, Buenos Aires will be the first stop on your travels to Patagonia.

Argentina is the second largest country in South America after Brazil and the world’s eighth largest country.  It’s strategic location relative to the sea-lanes between the South Atlantic and the South Pacific Oceans provides diverse geophysical landscapes that range from tropical climates in the north to tundra in the far south.

Patagonia’s Peninsula Valdes in Chubut Province is the destination for our ultimate purpose to photograph the ORCA and the Right Whales.  The Valdes Peninsula, considered on of the most valued wildlife areas in the world is home to the Southern Right Whale, Orcas, Southern Elephant Seals and Sea Lions.

Orca:
The Orca (Killer Whale) attack zone is where elephant and sea lions give birth. The Orcas will attack the young pups, and adults in the water or on the beach, thrilling life and death images.

Permits are secured for this photo shoot at this time.

Trip Schedule: March of each year.

Photography: Sorry, land based only, no diving.

Right Whales:
Averaging nearly 12m in length and weighing more than 30 tons, Right Whales coming north from Antarctica enter the waters of the Golfo Nuevo and the Golfo San Jose to bear their young.

June through the end of November of each year is the opportune time to photograph the Southern Right Whale breeding and bearing their young.

Photography: Underwater and Topside Photography.

Permits to dive with the Right Whale are pending, please stay in touch.
